Stryker’s Unitale Pack (UNDERTALE) by StrykerXV – Game Jolt

Orikaru – Undertale battle simulator

This page tells you how to defeat all the Bosses in Undertale. As such there may be significant spoilers contained on this page.

The ruins has two bosses, Napstablook who is more of a mini-boss, and Toriel. In the ruins , you’ll come across a sleeping ghost.

This is sort of a boss battle as it’s unavoidable but it isn’t too difficult. Talk to the ghost and choose to move it with force to start the battle with Napstablook.

Napstablook’s attacks are in the form of tears. For his first tears which are wiggly and drop straight down, stay to the lower section to give yourself plenty of time to dodge them. The more rounded tears are best avoided by staying near the centre of the square. This boss fight may take a while if you want to spare her as the only option you can choose to win passively is to ‘Spare’ her.

Keep doing so and eventually, she will give up. The good news is Toriel doesn’t want to hurt you. If your health is low her attacks will become less accurate. After constantly sparing her instead of attacking she’ll start talking to you. Keep sparing her and she will let you pass. Go through the doors, up the long corridor and you’ll meet Flowey again. He will confirm whether or not you have killed anyone and taunt you. Exit the large doors and you’ll move onto the next area.

Snowdin is the second area and has a few dog style mini bosses and one skeleton style main boss. Not too far into this area you’ll come to a large box, a dog will pop out saying he can only see moving things.

This will spark a boss battle with Doggo. The trick with Doggo’s attack is not to move and it won’t hurt you. Chose to pet doggo and keep staying still for his attack – once he’s been pet his name will turn yellow indicating you can now spare him. Attack Doggo and stay still for his counter attacks, it will probably take you two or more attacks to kill Doggo.

You can still choose to pet him for dialogue before killing as he needs to be manually spared. The attacks will come in the form of rotating blue and white hearts. Dodge them or position yourself where the blue hearts will land and remain still. Each Dog will probably take at least two hits to kill. Once one is defeated the other will become more aggressive. Start by choosing the “Roll Around” action to change your scent if you want to spare Dogi. Now choose to ‘Re-sniff’ so the dogs can discover your new smell.

You’ll then need to pet both dogs in order to spare them – in between pets they will do a large axe attack which is more difficult to dodge so be careful.

Astonished at the new opportunities opened up to them by learning that dogs could pet other dogs, they let you continue south. After passing through an area with a dog house and many snow puffs, one such snow puff will be blocking your path out. Greater Dog’s attacks come in two different types. One is a spear that moves across the screen, it changes from white to blue, so try to time yourself to stay still and let it pass you when it’s blue.

The latter are ‘Barks’ coming from a snoozing dog, stay up high and keep moving to dodge them. Papyrus is the main boss for Snowdin , and you’ll have to fight him if you want to leave Snowdin town. This battle can be tricky, but if you lose you don’t die and you can come back and retry. Losing 3 times will give you the option just to skip the battle altogether.

His first attack will make your soul blue, which means it now is affected by gravity and will sink to the ground. You can jump and move with the arrow keys, so use them to dodge his attacks. Papyrus has a lot of HP and it will take pretty much the same amount of time to kill as he will to spare.

If you get him low on HP he will offer to spare you instead. It’s up to you whether you spare or kill him. Flirt with him and then keep sparing him until all his attacks are finished to be able to spare him the old-fashioned way.

Waterfall only has two bosses, but the fight with Undyne will come up several times as you pass through here. As you’re making your way through the area, you’ll come to a jetty.

Suddenly you’ll be attacked by a spear, and Undyne will appear. This will enter you into a battle with her where you need to dodge the spears in both combat screens and along the jetty. Keep heading east, if spears hit you again you’ll be taken into combat mode again for one of her attacks. The best way to dodge the spears is to keep moving east and be mindful of when to move up or down as you can easily move into the path of the spears. You’ll come to some reeds to hide in again and won’t be able to move while a brief cutscene plays out.

The next area is a save point, so make sure to do so before moving on. Further in you will once again find you are on a jetty – this time the ground will glow and from those points, spears will rise up from underneath. Keep moving in a general south-east direction but your path will be somewhat determined by Undyne’s attacks.

As long as you don’t rush you should be able to get through this unharmed. Eventually, you’ll get to the end of the jetty and the spears will stop.

Turn around and head back to meet Undyne face on before falling to the depths. As you are trying to make your way out of the sewers where you fell, you’ll be stopped by this training Dummy. He will attack by having his dummy friends attack you. These projectiles follow you around the space – you need to lead as many possible in the direction where they’ll hit the Dummy to do damage. The rocket style projectiles will often need to do a circle once before they can fly off to hit him, so lead them accordingly.

This fight presents itself right at the end of the level as you come to a mountain, and has a save point just before it for your convenience. To get through the Undyne Boss fight as a pacifist the only thing you can really do is choose to flee whenever it’s available.

The dog residue from before may come in handy if you need to heal yourself during this battle. Undyne will turn your heart green which means it can’t move. Then she will send arrows at you. You have a block ability in the form a blue line. You need that blue line to be facing the direction the arrows come at you in order to not take damage.

Sometimes the arrows will be yellow, which means they will actually come from the opposite direction. When your heart is red then you will need to act as usual and dodge the spears, much like from the previous encounters with her.

Constantly attack Undyne and do not choose to run. Once her health is at zero she will have the determination to keep attacking and try to survive. Her attacks will become sluggish and easy to avoid and you can finish her off.

Once your heart is red you may be able to manage to flee and she will chase you, so move quickly up through the tunnel. Undyne will catch you and you’ll have to survive her attack to flee again so you can keep running.

Papyrus will call you during this just to add to the pressure. Don’t worry, she won’t come any closer while you are on the call. After a long horizontal corridor, you’ll come to a desert area.

Ignore Sans and walk across the bridge where Undyne will collapse. You must get her a cup of water from the cooler immediately if you want to complete a pacifist run or befriend her or Papyrus. In the Hotlands you’ll encounter a few bosses, the most notable of which is Mettaton who you’ll have to face multiple times in different ways. As she’s explaining her robot that might cause problems, it of course busts into the room and will start a sort of quiz show battle – on your off turns what you do doesn’t matter.

Dr Alphys will signal the answers to you with her hands, so keep an eye on her sprite. Once the battle is over Mettaton will leave and Dr Alphys will upgrade your phone as well as sign you up to a social media whether you like it or not.

Continue East and exit the lab. Alphys will hack the lights to turn on only for you to discover you’re in a cooking show with Mettaton. First you’ll need to gather the ingredients behind you-you can carry all at once so just get them all and bring them back. Let the scene play out for a while and you’ll find yourself wearing a jetpack to scale an impossibly high cupboard and get some substitute human soul extract.

A timer will start and you’ll need to dodge the ingredients Mettaton drops from above you. Don’t stress too much as you are given ample time to reach the top. Mettaton will leave at this point and you can continue east to a new save point before heading further eastward. Before you face Mettaton again you’ll be interrupted by some guards who will take you to safe place from the human – or that’s the plan until they realise you’re the human and begin a mini-boss fight.

This boss fight is pretty specific and while not difficult, it would be hard to guess the right combination to clear it peacefully. Choose to act and skip over RG 01 and go to RG Choose to clean his armour – this will present a long vertical battle area with green floating armour piece.

Run into it around 5 times and he should take his armour off – if you don’t get it enough times you’ll need to clean him again. Now you need to choose RG 01 and whisper to him.
